So, as you have probably figured out, I'm totally in love with Mod Podge projects. I have recently discovered the dimensional magic mod podge and wanted to share a tutorial using this amazing product. Dimensional magic mod podge gives a flat surface a slight 3D gloss effect. Nevertheless, I'm going to show you have to make this wicked pin. Pins and brooches are great for giving a cardigan a little flare.
Here's What You'll Need:
- 2 of the Image of Your Choice ( one slightly larger then the other)
- 1 Piece of Felt
- 1 Piece of Card Stock
- 1 or 2 Bar Pinbacks (depending on the length of your image)
- Mod Podge - Matte Finish
- Mod Podge - Dimensional Magic
- Paintbrush
- Pen
- Scissors
- Glue Gun
- Glue Stick
Step 1: Take the larger version of your image and put the printed side of the image to the non-printed side of the card stock and trace.
Step 2: Cut out the card stock around the traced outline. Next, take smaller version of your image and with your paintbrush, coat a layer of the matte finish mod podge on the back.
Step 3: Flip your image over and place it onto the card stock. Once secure, grab your paintbrush and put a thin layer of matte finish mod podge on the front of your image.
Step 4: Turn your picture to the back, completely cover the back with hot glue, and attach it to the felt.
Step 5: Take your scissors and cut your felt to fit the rest of the image.
Without moving your picture, let it dry for 24 hours!
Step 7: Once dried, take your glue gun and glue the bar pin or pins to the back.
And Your Finished!
Now Take this concept and make some pendants, earrings, stickers, whatever your heart may desire!!
