Happy Tutorial Thursday! Well, actually it's Friday, I'm just a little late :) Anyways, today I'm demonstrating how to make a super simple no-sew fabric flower headband. It should take you only 20 minutes at the most!
Here's What You'll Need:
- Silk, Satin, Chiffon or Any Lightweight Fabric ( 6 total of at least 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" squares)
- 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" Piece of Felt
- Hot Glue Gun
- Glue Stick
- Scissors
- Circle Templates ( one 4" in Diameter and one 2" in Diameter)
- Headband
Step 1: Using your circle templates, cut six 4" circles out of your lightweight fabric and cut one 2" circle out of felt. Next, grab one circle and your glue gun and put a dab of glue on the top of the wrong side of the fabric. Then, fold the circle in half, and press down securely on the glue.
Step 2: Once folded in half, place another small amount of glue on the right side of the circle. Fold in half again and secure.
Step 3: Place more glue at the point of the petal and position it at the middle of the felt circle.
Step 4: Repeat steps 1-3 for each petal, but when placing them on the felt, make sure to overlap the previous petal approximately 1/2".
Step 5: You can choose to leave your flower plain, or glue a rhinestone or button in the middle.
Step 6: Lastly, glue your flower from the back to wherever you desire on the headband.
And Your Finished!
Now get your butt out of the house and show this bad boy off!
